This blog is created to discuss android medical applications. Will android medical applications be the future of health informatics?
After ten years, i am excited again about some technology which could be future. Ten years ago, i along with couple of my friends had an idea about e-prescriptions where a doctor could write prescription right from their handheld devices and send it to pharmacy. There were very few handheld devices (major vendor was Palm) and wireless internet was not that popular at that time. I had bought couple of development books for Palm, we did proof of concept. But, then all of us got busy with our day jobs and it never went ahead.
Android looks like promising platform and especially coming from company like Google, it will make an impact. Also, around this time health informatics is getting more attention than earlier, developing android applications for medicine domain could be interesting venture.
This blog will provide my thoughts /views on android platform, health informatics and developing medical applications for android platform.
